Friends of music -
I started off making this a typical band site: 'Hey look at us, we're a cool rock band'. I'm starting to think: Not so much.
What would be really cool is to share the process of a band writing, producing, recording, and marketing our music with as many people as possible that are interested. Well, it's been done elsewhere in 'the cloud', but not by us, and not with you. So that's the direction I'm hoping you might go with us.
This site will feature: 1.) The standard would-be artsy, webby, XHTMLy, linky, promotional bandy stuff. 2.) Regular, real-time updates of the music we're recording - featuring full-length, FREE MP3 DOWNLOADS - sometimes rough, sometimes shiny - depending on where we're at in the process. 3.) A regularly updated blog describing where we are at in the process, with candid thoughts about how it's going and what, specifically, we are attempting to accomplish. Users can leave comments about postings for interaction with each other and with the band 4.) A Forum (decomissioned 6/2010) that is specifically for your social interaction, comments, feedback, adoration, cynicism, witticism and anecdotes. This is only as valuable as your inclination to go there and use it. :-)
I have no idea whether anybody will show up and play, but it seems like the thing to do, so we hope you will join us. This is a forum for discussion of musical production, recording, engineering, art, writing, communication, rock and roll, guitar playing, singing... you know.
The only editing I might do of your posted comments are deletion of things inflammatory towards one another. Life is rough enough that such things really don't need to be brought into this forum. Your criticisms are welcome. Pointed comments towards the band, well, I'd like to think we can take it. Inflammatory comments to one another can be taken elsewhere, or even dropped altogether. Life is short.
So welcome to our friendly little socio-musical experiment. Please come and play with us. Let's see what happens.
Thanks -
